with my first week of work down with only a few emotional break-downs along the way, i'm feeling pretty good. while i won't be able to do it all the time, this week i was able to get home during my lunch hour to feed emre, so he only had one bottle per day which helped ease my guilt a bit. this kid is growing before our eyes - changing every day! so i feel like i miss so much being gone during the day, but i'm sure there are plenty of moms out there who have it a lot worse.
this week he rolled from his back to his front twice, started tugging on his feet (which he recently discovered) and trying to put them in his mouth, and he's beginning to have more of a giggle which comes out when daddy and i play games with him. he's way more aware of us & we swear he responds when we call his name (though it's probably just our tone of voice?). every night after dinner we hang out in the living room until bath time (8:30), just playing and laughing with him. this is a new thing as well, since up until last week or so the evening was his crankiest time. now he is almost never upset unless he's hungry or tired - and even that seems to happen less & less, which allows us to have sooo much fun with our little guy!

oh these pics are so so so precious! I can't get over how much he is changing. I giggled through all of them, most especially the one where he's stuffing his mouth full of his hands :) And that brunch does look ca-ray-zy! love that little babe so very much. and love you all!
