twenty nine weeks

well emre is 29 weeks old today - nearly seven months - and we are all packed and ready to go to the states!  we could not be more excited about this trip.  for some reason (or, many reasons, that ben and i have surmised) we have been anticipating this trip more than any other before.  we have been counting down for months.  we've got lots of fun plans, but mainly we just can't wait to see our family & friends and introduce emre to his american roots.

twenty eight weeks

my, what a difference six months makes!  i cannot believe the changes we've seen in emre these past few days & weeks.  he's sticking to the same sleep schedule every night & seems to be enjoying his crib.  he is slowly starting to crawl (though he's been mobile by rolling and army-crawling for some time now), eating (so far, rice cereal, carrots, sweet potato and plain potato), and babbling away.  he likes to practice his t's (teh, teh, teh) and laughing (he's a big fake laugher - one of us will do a fake laugh and he'll respond).  it's such fun to see his personality emerge day by day.

practicing crawling

bath time = favorite time

loves his bath toys

sweet potatoes for the first time

gagging - a natural reaction to most first tastes

most of his meals end up on his face, bib, high chair & me

so proud of my big boy!

twenty seven weeks

it's been a good week here - the weather has finally cooled (if you call 90-95 cool, and we do), emre's starting to eat his 'food' more and more, and we've been enjoying watching the olympics every night after e goes to bed.  certainly glad the weekend begins tomorrow at 5pm... nothing much planned, aside from hanging with our little man.  hope you have a good one!

isn't our neighborhood beautiful?  no?

ben, doing his best not to vomit after a little boy biked past us with snot hanging from his chin.
