since we had plans to head to the nyc for a few days, we left my parent's house on christmas afternoon and headed home. it was nice to be in our home, christmas tree lit, on christmas day - and give emre a chance to enjoy his loot : ) the next day we headed to nyc for a two night get away (in hindsight, what a horrible idea visiting the city along with all of the other tourists).

the family came to us for new year's eve. sooo awesome to be able to get together so easily for the holidays!

mom & dad went home to celebrate the new year. jeffrey had to work & drove up that night, so sarah and i spent the evening baking cupcakes & cooking up a delicious cheese fondue while (enjoying plenty of refreshments and) watching the kiddos.
