with sarah & jeff in california for christmas, it was just us with mom & dad - a nice, quiet christmas. i went early with the boys so we could enjoy some extra time there while ben worked. this is the first year emre really got the concept of writing a list to santa, which was fun (and helped enormously with his behavior in the weeks leading up). he chose three things for his list: mickey mouse activity book, thomas the tank train wash, and 'rocky' the crane train (also from thomas). it was a thrill to see his face light up as he opened the packages wrapped in special 'santa paper.'
