well it's 8:30am and all is quiet at 17 hamilton ave as the family rests. we're getting ready for two crazy days... and the fun has already begun! last night we did a lady's and men's night out, respectively. sarah & i picked alexa up at the airport & then headed to kitty hoyne's irish pub. there we met up with mom, lynn (jeffrey's mom), my aunt noel who flew in from san francisco yesterday, lynn's two friends anne and lani, and mom's close friend chris from skaneateles. we had a great time toasting to sarah & catching up with friends we hadn't seen in a long time. poor alexa was jet-lagged and sick with a cold, but she hung in there.
meanwhile ben & dad were out with the men (jeff's dad dave, my uncle jim, and a few other friends), who went to the sherwood inn in skaneateles.
it was fun and now it's time to gear up for a long day of preparations. the first item on my to-do list is a trip to syracuse to pick up my dress for the wedding, now that the alterations are complete. then it's off to have pedi's and mani's at a local salon. at 4pm i'll head to the church to rehearse a song i will sing at the wedding ('to make you feel my love') with the musician, and at 5pm the rehearsal will begin! whew. i'm tired already.
