other weekend activities included:
:: renewing and improving our gym membership. now i can go to yoga and pilates classes on the weekend! of course, those classes will be in turkish, so i will improve my language skills simultaneously.... tooootally worth the outrageous price.
:: continuing our search for the perfect wedding venue here in ankara... something that is turning out to be a much bigger ordeal than we expected. we've now been to all 5 major hotels in the city of ankara. believe it or not, 350-400 guests is considered small for a wedding in turkey. seriously?! seriously... they typically run in the 600-1000 ballpark. turks!
:: having a lovely saturday night fish dinner with some of ben's family whom we rarely get to see. i also was able to practice my turkish conversation skills here, making my brain very tired by the end of the night.
:: freshly baked blueberry muffins from scratch for sunday breakfast... mmmm!
:: a sunday afternoon lunch out & stroll with ben... perfection.
now we are into the first week of march, busy with work and wedding plans and now a trip home in april. luckily, the sun is shining and the temps are warm, which makes all of the items on my to-do list seem a bit more attainable. could this be spring?
happy march!
