wow - emre is 34 weeks old today! next week he'll turn eight months. he's getting big, heavy and MOBILE, so this is not so hard to believe. here are some pics from the past 2 weeks to show you how much he's grown...
we think he might be over jet-lag now, though he had playtime at least once this week around the midnight hour because he just wouldn't sleep. he's also still teething, so it's hard to know just what exactly is bothering him when he wakes up at night.
still loves his bath time!

emre is more mobile than ever. he can now crawl (though, it's not the most fluid nor coordinated effort just yet), and sit up very easily. he's even pulled himself up on the side of the couch & his crib once or twice!
doing his favorite 'cleopatra' pose (or, as the girls call it, 'where are my grapes?')
pulls himself into a sitting position easily now
this week we hosted a playgroup with emre's friends. we have some new additions to the group & now at least two of them are walking. so, prepping to host the group now includes baby proofing the entire house - good practice for us!
playtime with friends - we've got walkers!

agatha and the boys came for dinner on wednesday and little alex was so sweet with emre - he wanted to teach him how to crawl, and made some good progress!

alex teaching him to crawl as stefano looks on
getting encouragement from his big 'bro'
he's still my little baby!
we got the news last sunday that our friends ece & can had their little boy, 'tahn.' we went to the hospital to visit them that afternoon - as is expected in turkish tradition - the same hospital where emre was born, so it was pretty nostalgic! it was such fun to see a newborn baby again, and visit with all of our friends who happened to stop by at the same time.
