we are off to madrid tomorrow for a week-long holiday. we'll be staying with our friends the price's, and we can't wait! it will be wonderful to visit with good friends, get re-acquainted with this little one, take in a new city, and have a nice rest from life in ankara.
this is my first trip to spain (baby balkaya's, too), and no doubt we'll be humming this tune all the way there:

Fun! I highly recommend the Reina Sofia Museum. And the churros and chocolate at San Gines. There is also an unbelievable market close to Plaza Mayor called San Miguel. I wish I had a local tour guide when I was there!!! Have fun.
