emre is six weeks old as of yesterday. to celebrate, he slept for 6.5 solid hours last night! granted this was more of a celebration for mommy, but still...
we can't get over how much he's changing every day. for instance, today he gave me what i believe to be his first intentional smile, where he actually held my gaze and responded to me! such a magical feeling, seeing my baby smile at me like that. then he spent more time on his gym mat than ever before and actually grabbed the hanging rings several times. my baybee is so talented!

I take partial credit for helping Emre through his early, "pre-smiling and still screaming" stage. It sure was worth it! He is a delight!
He's definitely getting cuter and cuter by the second. He's so photogenic, too. Can;t wait to meet him.
I am also excited to see the pic of the family at Gunaydin. Mmm...yummy fresh baked bread and patlican salatasi.
