yesterday my closest girlfriends here in turkey, agatha & ozge, hosted a baby shower on my behalf. this was actually my third shower (our coworkers threw a surprise shower while we were in albany, which i've still got to post some pictures of), can you believe it?
before i post the pictures, it's probably time that i post the name of our baby (since it's in the pictures!). we are naming him james emre (em-ray), an american & a turkish name for our bi-cultured boy. james is after my grandfather & uncle, and emre is a turkish name that ben and i both love. we plan to call him emre.
the shower was held at agatha's house and it was absolutely beautiful - these girls did not miss one detail! we spent the afternoon/evening eating delicious food while sitting around talking, opening gifts, and just having a nice, relaxing time. i am so lucky to have such good friends.
