mom & dad left yesterday morning, just in the nick of time - we've been hit with yet another winter storm that's still continuing. this winter has got to be a record for ankara, where we typically get little to no snow.
yesterday afternoon we barely made it home from the hospital (where we had emre's one-month check up, more on that later). on our way up the hill to our house, we came across this guy who'd had the ingenious idea to have his friend ride in the trunk, to add weight on the back tires for better traction (duh). i love how casual he was about the whole thing, watching the world go by with a cigarette dangling from his mouth.
you can't make this stuff up.

emre opted to put on his coziest outfit and nap it out... sounds heavenly to me!
the snow continues, and we're perfectly happy being snowed in all together... just as long as it clears up in time for aunt sarah's arrival on friday!
