we enjoyed new year's eve - mainly because we got to dress up & go out with adults & stay up past our bed time... i think we've done that maybe 3 times since emre was born. what a treat!
we had a lovely dinner at kolyoz, a fish restaurant that ben & i have come to like. they treated us like vip's, being the only american bunch.

on new year's day we had dinner with ben's family, who treated emre to numerous new year gifts (turks celebrate it like christmas and exchange gifts, usually on nye).

we had eric, agatha & the boys over on saturday for one last hurrah before eric left for another 3 months. we were sad to say goodbye, but so glad we got to spend time with him while he was home!

i've been sick with a cold for 2 weeks now, and this week emre came down with it, too. poor little guy has not slept well due to a runny nose & cough - but does his best to nap during the day. hopefully this week will be the end of it. looking forward to a weekend of relaxing & recuperating, without much else planned. happy friday!
