can and ece tie the knot, bige and i learn to dance like turkish men

last night we celebrated the wedding of our dear friend can and his wife ece. it was the perfect excuse to get gussied up and have a fun night out with our turkish crew.

pre-wedding photo... all dressed up & ready to go. while i was getting ready ben serenaded me with guitar hero, hence the guitar in the background.
the wedding was held at the army base, because ece's father is a general. it was a beautiful facility.
before the bride & groom made their entrance there was a photo montage of the couple, as it tradition with turkish weddings.
can & ece making their entrance
making it official by saying 'evet' and signing of the contract
good friends looked on, some more seriously than others!

first dance, surrounded by sparklers
annnnd the party begins

can's father, who i swear is a kennedy, though everyone made fun of me for saying so.
the other can... ulusoy... sporting a wicked 'stache for the event.

the next couple to tie the knot...!
later on the dancing commenced, and bige and i were having fun doing our own thing...
...until can told us we needed to learn to dance proper, turkish style. ben caught the whole thing on camera... yikes!
can watched and critiqued our attempts to dance like turkish men

then showed us how it's really done
my lame attempt

good times!
