sunny coast

we may have arrived back to a wet and cold ankara at 8am this morning, but mentally we're still in australia! i'm posting my pictures from the beach below, since that's what i'm daydreaming about this afternoon as we unpack and return to normal life. we had such a wonderful trip, providing us with memories that are sure to keep us warm throughout the cold winter months ahead. these pictures are from a day spent at 'sunny coast,' a beach area north of brisbane. we had a great day of surfing waves and eating authentic fish & chips right on the beach... heaven!

anneanne was the fanciest beach-goer that day... as always, the picture of loveliness!
ben & ado, enjoying their 'fisherman's basket' for lunch

aydan and i had a nice walk down the beach as the sun set

these... older men... were quite the rowers. the best part was watching them all stand up when they came into shore, revealing their g-strings. quite the site!
surf-board bench
loved this! they aren't kidding about the view...

watching the sun set at the end of a relaxing day
aussie's doing what they do best... bbq'ing!
