friday nite iftar

here are some pics from the wonderful dinner we had with ben's family on friday. these are the cousins of ben's late grandfather, and their daughter's family. apparently when ben's grandparents were first married they all lived together in one house! the photos turned out much more blurry than i thought- but it gives you an idea of what a lovely home they have, and what an amazing dinner teyze (aunt) cooked for us. for some reason all of the photos wouldn't upload so i'll put the rest in the nex post.



iftar... complete with lentil soup, a rice & lamb dish, 4 different salads, a borek (baked pastry stuffed with meat & vegetables), turkish salami & cheeses, and special desserts, followed by a fruit plate.
