here are some photos from saturday--again it wouldn't let me upload them all at once so i will post the rest in a separate blog. the first are from our shopping excursion in old ankara with ben's aunt, hunting for cheap furniture (with no success).
ben's aunt... determined to help us find something
a car we passed being towed. this i found very interesting & yet another reminder that things are done a little differently here!
the cops observing... they don't do too much more than this.
yes, they literally LIFT the car (by 4 straps attached to the tires) onto the tow truck, and then drive away without securing it. and as you can see, i wasn't the only one who stopped to watch.
