off the beaten path

an interesting aspect of ankara is how quickly it's expanding. it's
already a very large & sprawling city, but you can turn off the highway
and find yourself on what feels like a country road. these are some pictures
i took on the way home from running errands on saturday when ben took the
'scenic route.' you can see a new neighborhood developing, and barren hills
that will soon be covered with houses.
