14 weeks, a lot of pictures

emre is fourteen weeks today!

we've been enjoying lots of long walks in the beautiful spring weather.  luckily, emre enjoys these as much as me.  in fact he is so quiet that i often have to take a picture of him with my phone to see if he's sleeping or awake (since he faces away from me in the bjorn).  what a nut.

really need to find a sunhat that fits

on the weekends we usually visit a park in the afternoons.  last weekend we went to a nearby lake for a picnic & a walk.
patiently waiting to go to the park with mom & dad

on sunday we visited our friends nil & kemal, who were having a bbq in their fabulous garden.  some of our turkish friends have had children recently (two have had boys, one born the same day as emre, and one more couple has a boy on the way).  i wouldn't be surprised if these two gave us some baby news soon - look how natural they are with him!

on one of my walks this week with emre, we came across this sweet elderly couple who were enjoying a day in the park.  i couldn't resist taking a picture.

on/off buttons - i wish!

chillin' with his moms - yep, still awake!

he loves to study my face up close

most nights emre joins us at the dinner table in his bumbo.  it keeps him happy & allows us to have a somewhat uninterrupted meal.

emre's now got a pretty distinctive bald spot from looking back & forth while lying in his crib.  it's pretty cute.

'good boy' is what anneanne is always saying to ben, so we bought this shirt for her

last night ben's brother fazil can returned from the us, and met his nephew for the first time!  needless to say, it was a very happy moment.

when we were trying to get a photo with the rest of the balkayas, i told them it looked as though fazil can had returned from the states with a baby, and this was their reaction!

happy weekend, y'all!

Your blog and pics are such a delight. 'Wish I could visit the gardens at Nil and Kemal's. We are finally having a summer-like day in CNY - humid and wet!
